NEW
FOUR (4) ENTRIES MAXIMUM PER ENTRANT PER SEASON IN EACH DIVISION-AGE GROUP.
ONE (1) ENTRY PER GOAT AND/OR PHOTO PER SEASON REGARDLESS OF AGE.

OWNERSHIP

The goat, be it now living or dead, must have been owned by the entrant at the time the photo was taken.
ENTRY SUBMISSION
Entries must be submitted on-line using the entry form located on this web site.
Postal or email entries will not be accepted or acknowledged.
Photos must be jgp or jpe format and be submitted on-line at the same time as the entry form is submitted.
ELIGIBILITY
The OnLine Show is open to all goats of any breed.
No association registration is required or asked for.

RESPONSIBILITY

It is the responsibility of the entrant to insure that information on the entry form is correct prior to submission.
DETERMINATION OF AGE

The age of the goat at the time the photo was taken is the correct age group for that entry.

REJECTION / DELETION OF ENTRIES:
Applies to entries waiting for a class, awaiting judging, or placed. The entrant may or may not be notified of the deletion. Rejection and or deletion is at the sole discretion of the show host. Any award assigned to a rejected or deleted entry will be forfeit.

DUPLICATE ENTRIES: Second and subsequent entries of the same goat or the same photo during one season regardless of the division-age entered will be deleted when discovered.
Email    immediately if you accidentally submit a duplicate entry. Include the division and age group, goat ID/number/tag, your name, and the date & approximate time of the duplicate entry.
I may or may not monitor entries for duplicates. Entrants are encouraged to notify me if they notice a duplicate entry.

INCORRECT DIVISION or AGE: the photo does not match the sex or age on the entry form. A 3 month old doe will not be competitive in a 24-36 month buck class.

OWNER or FITTER IDENTIFIED: farm signs or other identifying items or persons are in the photo. The judges want to evaluate the goat without knowing who owns it.

OBVIOUS WINNER: awards are in the photo with the goat. The judge doesn't want to know what some other judge thought of your goat.

ATTEMPTED BIAS: entrant contacts the judge about their entry before the class is placed.

ALTERED PHOTO: If the photo has been altered in any way to change the shape, color, or characteristics of the goat the entry will be deleted and the entrant's farm & family will be PERMANENTLY BARRED FROM THE ONLINE SHOW.

IMPROPER GOAT ID: This is not a sale barn. Do not include "For Sale" or anything like that on the entry form.

INCORRECT ENTRY/OWNERSHIP: entrant claims ownership of someone else's goat or enters a photo using someone else's name and/or address. The entrant's farm & family will be PERMANENTLY BARRED FROM THE ONLINE SHOW.

CLASS PLACING:
Entries will be placed by the judge according to their relative quality in each class.
The judge might mark an entry "Not Placed" if:
Photo quality does not allow judging.
Goat is too far away or is too small in the photo to be judged.
Photo includes more than one goat and the judge cannot determine which goat was the intended entry.
Goat is of such poor quality that it would be removed from the ring in a live show.
Any of the reasons for deletion, above, exist.
RELEASE:
You must consider all entries that you submit to be "Open To The Public".
Entrant releases KLS Boer Goats, the show host, judges, sponsors, and advertisers of responsibility of any damages, monetary or otherwise, associated with a submitted entry.
THIS IS NOT A CONTRACT:
Nothing on this web site is to be construed as a contract between or among the entrants, host, judges, sponsors, and/or advertisers.
This is a FREE service - continuous or ongoing availability of this service is not guaranteed.
The show rules may be changed or amended from time to time as required.

DIVISIONS:

Bucks - Open to all intact male goats regardless of breed. Judging terms such as "breed character" and "adherence to breed standard" are applicable - the Boer goat is, at this time, the meat goat standard. If another goat breed should rise to pre-eminence then the "breed character" definition of that breed will be used.
Boer Does - was Fullblood Does - Open to all female goats showing strong Boer influence. These Does are expected to produce breed standard and production quality kids. Terms such as "breed character" might be used in the judging for the same reasons as stated in the buck paragraph above.
Production Does - was Percentage Does - Open to all female goats regardless of breed. Production does are expected to produce production and market kids. Terms such as "breed character" will be avoided when describing goats in this division.
Market Goats - was Wethers - Open to all show wethers and market quality goats, bucklings, does, & wethers, under 12 months of age. Terms such as "breed character" will be avoided when describing goats in this division.

CLASS COMPOSITION AND LOCATION:
Classes are composed of between 5 and 9 photos.
Class entries are selected at random by computer from the available pool of entries for that division-age. Selection will be biased toward earliest entry date.

Waiting To Be Assigned to a class: on the Waiting Entries page.
Entries Being Judged: in one of the classes listed on the Current Classes page.
Judged entries: on the Judged Classes page.

New classes are formed all season, there are no late entries.

Entries submitted for an already posted class will be held for a later class of the same division-age.

AWARDS / RECOGNITION:

Class winners will have a small graphic plaque displayed next to their photo. The graphic may be copied by the winner for display on their own web page.

Class winners will be awarded First Place ribbons.

If there is money left after buying the ribbons the Division and Overall champions will receive special awards.

It is planned but not guaranteed that awards will be shipped by Dec 31st of each show season. The OnLine Show is hosted and judged by un-paid volunteers. Monetary Sponsorship is encouraged. Please visit the "Sponsors" page. Sponsorships are not specific to any division or award.
