Wether
Selected by Joe Raff
I think its easy for the Grand and Res. Grand. C and D are the best two wethers in the drive. From there – we have the old ‘give and take’ situation. C is thicker, heavier muscled, heavier boned and more powerful then D. He is also very well balanced, smoothed shouldered and profiles. To make him better he needs to be longer sided and I would like to see him trimmer middled. However, this is a market show and a muscle driven industry so he will be Grand. D is no question longer bodied, smoother made, more attractive from the side, really good in his rib shape and has some muscle shape in his hind leg, so he is an easy Res compared to the rest of the drive. But, he gives up too much top shape and overall power to be Grand. Two good wethers! Congratulations………

Buck
Selected by Joe Raff and Marvin Shurley
Congratulations! to the breeders and owners of the four bucks in this championship drive. An overall good set of bucks. We would have preferred that the photos of the senior division bucks allowed an evaluation of their pasterns.
We like the Sr. Div. Champ for overall champion. He is a goat very modern in his design showing the quality we like to see in our top animals. A very well balanced animal with good depth of body, muscling, and extension out through the front end. As a young Sr. buck he still shows plenty of growth potential. The Jr. Champion is a young goat with a nice round rib shape, and heavy muscling as evidenced by his thick forearms. Excellent scrotal attachment, and hip structure as well. Certainly a young buck with the potential to be a grand champion as he matures. Shorter rear pasterns would be preferable but he has plenty otherwise to earn him to the title Overall Reserve Champion.

Boer Doe
Selected by Paulette Wohnoutka & Norman Fryar
All four of the does in the championship drive are excellent examples of the Boer phenotype. The breeders can be proud of their accomplishments.
The Junior Division Champion is named Overall Grand Champion Boer Doe. The senior champ looses points for less than 100% pigment and she doesn't demonstrate as much muscle extension down her rear legs.
The Overall Reserve Champion Boer Doe is the Junior Reserve. She is heavier boned than the senior champ and shows more muscle definition.

Commercial Doe
Selected by Danny Thompson & Reggie Phillips
Congratulations! to the breeders and owners.
Two really nice does. The Jr. Doe will be Champion. Her advantage in muscle and her balance will make her champion today.
The Sr. Doe will be Res. Champion a feminine, tall up fronted doe.
Again Congratulations to all in the Championship Drive.
